You can check the connection settings in IE if you need a specific proxy configuration.

  • Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections: LAN Settings

Firefox:

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network: Connection

I still get a blank Firefox home page, and no internet connectivity: going to connection settings in Options, "configure proxy settings", I have the choice of: 1, no proxy; 2,auto detect for this proxy setting;3, use system proxy settings; 4, manual proxy setting; 5,automatic proxy configuration url, and then a place to type it in and "reload". Which of these settings do I use? None seem to work, making me thing the 5th one, automatic is right, but I don't know what url to type in. I don't see how to make Firefox connect to the internet. Could I have done something by accident, erased something so I don't have the right info?
