The error is from your providers server. You should ask them. There is a Internet outage affecting large areas of the US right now. I do not know if this is related. Search Comcast outage for details on that.

It was part of an elaborate scam that included a "help" number, which when dialed, requested access to my computer and an $88.96 charge to fix it. I contacted IT, who assured me it was a scam. I hung up, and within 1/2 hour my email worked.
