We run two websites internally (SharePoint, custom ASP.NET) that use Windows Authentication. After my update today, I can no longer authenticate through, my user credentials just keep bouncing back and I get prompted again and again? Authentication works with Safari and IE?

There are these two prefs that you can check on the about:config page that deal with NTLM v1:

  • network.negotiate-auth.allow-insecure-ntlm-v1
  • network.negotiate-auth.allow-insecure-ntlm-v1-https

See also: Firefox -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network: Connection -> Settings: "Do not prompt for authentication if password is saved"

Thank you for the response, cor-el. I already have network.negotiate-auth.allow-insecure-ntlm-v1 set to TRUE from previous updates. I cannot find the HTTPS version of that value (please see attached image).

I do get the popup for windows auth, I enter my username / password and it just keeps bouncing back and re-prompting me.
