Since updating to 60.3.2, thunderbird can't keep the focus in the topic list. For every topic, I have to select it twice.

Also, if I want to select all the topics, Ctrl-A used to work, not any more. It seems I have to select a list element twice to actually select it. If I select a message and hit DEL, it ignores the keystroke. However, if I select a topic, then click it again, the DEL key will work.

None of this was happening previous to the last update.

Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

No joy, i backed up one release and everything works again. Obviously, the current version broke some keyboard handling, a number of user interface things don't work right anymore.

I only have two add-ons, and one is disabled. The only running one is Header Tools Lite, hard to imagine it's breaking things as it has worked fine for a long time.

Did you try safe mode? It involves more than just disabling add-ons, e.g. it tests for a broken layout.

Since going back one minor release solve it, I'll just wait a month or two and see if they sort this out. I'm at a loss as to why a minor revision would "break" my installation.

Everything works normally with 6.3.1 and the wheels fall off with 6.3.2. I don't need it bad enough to spend the time installing and uninstalling, only to find out that it's really nothing to do with my configuration. I suspect others will notice this soon.
