Good morning. it is strange that nobody reported yet that exist huge issue with Thunderbird and Gmail passkey support. Well in a moment you login to gmail it ask for passkey in popup browser window. But Thunderbird does not have bitwarden extension and not have any add-ons which support passkey. So it feels that Thunderbird not usable at all in case if used google passkey. It is also do not exist way to install firefox browser addon to Thunderbird internal browser. So i have a questions. 1) is it possible somehow to install firefox addon to thunderbird internal browser. 2) Is it possible to use normal system wide browser instead of internal thunderbird browser for authentication. 3) Do exist any workaround how to use bitwarden with thunderbird for passkeys

PS: I am also seen in internet people also have this problem and seen in bitwarden feature request to make it thunderbird compatible. But it was closed as not related to bitwarden but related to thunderbird problem.

However when sent to print (wi-fi connected printer), significant code block is printed (or shown on-screen prior to printing), and I presume this is (incorrect) encryption of the output data? (needless to say, If I access email from the server outside of thunderbird, it prints correctly.) Guidance and solution please. This is opening part of the HTML file (with email sender/receiver changed to x.co.uk for confidentiality).

The operating system: Windows 10. The content of messages in the inbox or in the sent folder disappears. Emails from a continuous period are disappearing, for example, now they have disappeared from 12th July at 9:45 to 22nd August at 12:13. The messages are visible on the list, but they have no content. They had content before. Moreover, when I deleted all the emails from such a folder, its file size on the disk did not decrease to 0. The problem started to appear the day before yesterday. It had never happened before. How can I fix this problem?

Hello, I am currently having some difficulties with my outlook account, due to the authentication modifications they made. I tried deleted/re-add my account. But instead of automatically finding the correct configuration, Thunderbird asks for a "domain identifier" (see image attached). I've tried different things, but nothing works. Thanks for your help ! Hello, I am having an issue with adding an email account to Thunderbird (x32). I enter my full name, email address, and app-specific password. Thunderbird recognizes the password, but when I click "Next," I get the following message: "Unable to log in to the server. There may be an error in the configuration, username, or password." I expect a window to appear for additional authorization through mail.ru since I am using OAuth2 authentication, but this window does not pop up. Interestingly, on another computer with the same version, I can add this account without any issues. Additionally, the account is added successfully on the same computer with the newer version, but for some reason, it does not add on the x32 version. Although the account does get added if I use the "normal password" option, I cannot send messages from it. I look forward to your response and assistance. Thank you in advance!

Since the software update on the 23/08/24 I am unable to download emails from the mail server I use. I am not getting any error messages or logs. My thunderbird version is 128.1.1est (32 Bit). Have cleaned out the cache and restarted my system but still unable to download emails.

I'm running TBird 128.1.1esr, but the problem I'm having occurred even before the last update. I'm trying to authenticate an organizational outlook office365 email account via OAuth2. The internal browser fails to load the organizational page and, instead, presents a box for credentials which fails. Is there any way to stop TBird from using its flawed internal browser engine for authentication? Note that setting the preferred browser for links in emails has no effect on TBird's choice to use its internal browser in this case.

My colleague, like me has been using Thunderbird for years, thank you. He has just purchased a new printer (Epson 2200) and he can no longer print any emails. Clicking on print brings up the box with 'Save to pdf' the ony option. We have gone into Troubleshooting Information and the printer appears in the print_printer line. We have also tried clearing the 'Clear saved print settings'. After we restart TB, no change, still unable to print with 'save to pdf' the only option. We have removed and reistalled the printer, which will print anything else outside of TB.

TB is up to date with the Nebula version. Windows 11 on new Acer Laptop.

Recently my 'search messages' has become increasingly unreliable. This may have been since Nebula auto-installed, but I can't be certain. The problem has happened occasionally in the past, but never regularly.

I usually search all local folders and often now it doesn't find mails I know exist. It will sometimes find them if I then search a likely folder [and its subfolders]. But even when the result appears to be complete it often continues searching till stopped.

Please can you suggest any reasons and fixes?

Global search still seems to work, but it's hard to be sure, and it's far less user-friendly.

I need help debugging a problem with IMAP folder subscription.

One of my Gmail accounts on Thunderbird 115 keeps re-subscribing to "All Mail". This happens about every second day, and Thunderbird starts re-downloading all messages in the "All Mail" folder until I unsubscribe again.

My two other Gmail accounts for which I unsubscribed to "All Mail" do not have this problem.

I have unsubscribed from the "All Mail" IMAP folder several times (right-click on account > Subscribe ... > uncheck the "All Mail" folder > click OK). I have tried deleting OR not deleting the "All Mail.msf" file (while Thunderbird wasn't running, of course). I have tried refreshing the IMAP folder list (right-click on account > Subscribe ... > click Refresh). I compared the server settings of this account to settings of other accounts which don't automatically resubscribe, and found no difference. I cannot find why this account does this. Unfortunately, it's my most active account.

How can I find what causes this, and fix it?

I'm trying to copy the data from a PC running xubuntu 2022 onto one running Ubuntu 2024.

I'm following the instructions here (https://www.google.com/search?channel=fs&client=ubuntu-sn&q=moving+thunderbird+data+to+a+new+computer) and all seems to work up to and including "On your destination computer" step 7 (Close Thunderbird). Step 7 "From your Thunderbird profile folder in File Browser, go up two levels" - this sends me to "Common". Step 8 Right click inside the folder, then select Paste.

Here's the problem: we're not told what to click on, but I assume it's ".thunderbird", which only contains 11 items although apparently 348 were transferred. Clicking on empty space (I tried that in desperation) doesn't work. I'm probably overlooking something obvious, but I can't see what that might be. Any suggestions gratefully received. In the meantime, I will keep trying and if I somehow get it to work I'll let you folk know.
