Ever since update to 56, Firefox constantly locks up repeatedly every day
EVERY day... MULTIPLE TIMES a day, Firefox locks up and quits responding and never recovers. You have to close out of it, and when you try to go back online, it gives an error that says "Firefox is already running" and you have to tell it to shut down.
This has become a HUGE problem because I'm in college, and I take online classes, and online tests. When Firefox locks up and I have to shut down, I have to beg my instructor to let me take a test again.
I've tried almost every single "fix" listed on Mozilla support. Some are too technical and I don't even know what you're talking about. If a "fix" is THAT hard, there's obviously a serious problem that should be "fixed" on Mozilla's end, not the end user. It's like Bill Gates telling me I have to create my own Windows patch. Not gonna happen. I'll just move to a different OS if that happened.
I just recently uninstalled and completely did a fresh reload, and it locked up during a test again. I quit. I'm typing this on Chrome at the moment. It actually works, and I didn't have to do anything special. I'm just not too fond of Google. But since I've always liked Firefox, when you guys get it fixed without the user having to have a programming degree, let me know. I'll give it another try.

Have you noticed any kind of pattern? Video, audio, pictures
How long is FF running before there is trouble?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
