I created a NEW gmail account with a new Address. When I open firefox the browser window automatically opens into my main gmail account. I keep trying to change the address of the opening page, but no go. It keeps opening into my Old gmail. without my needing to log onto it. Which prevents me from logging onto my new address, so I can receive emails scheduled for the new address. I want to keep the 2 accounts discretely separate.

How do I log into the new address and bypass my original main address w/ gmail with out closing my main email address. The new address may be short lived ( temporarily created for receiving art submissions for a new art exhibit that will last 3 months.)

Chosen solution

Not really a reply to above - too long a gap - but my problem is that the gmail help page advises always logging out carefully when using multiple accounts so that is no solution if you can`t find any way of definitely logging out of an account page. Clicking on picture, or account name (which in my case is not the email address but Google ID) does not result in drop down menu with log or sign out on it.

Is anyone at Google listening ? Googling this isn`t getting me anywhere.

hello, you could either log off your primary account on the top right of the page or just open the temporary account in private browsing mode...

With Gmail it should be possible to have multiple accounts open at the same time.

3rd reply. Just discovered the sign off was there. Poor eyesight and old age to blame My son found it for me. Very small print and very thin type but it is there. My problem solved.
