FF6.0: Send link... and mailto: links don't bring up email window

In Firefox 6.0, clicking on "Send Link..." from the file menu or clicking on an email link on a page (mailto:...) does nothing - no email window, no error message. Thunderbird 6.0 is my default email client (yes, I checked). Is there a setting I need to make, or is this broken in FF6?

Is anybody out there? No answers to this question yet. I just installed FF 6.0.2, and the bug is still there. What are the plans to fix it????
