Trying to d/l app on ancestry.com but screen just starts flashing. Works fine in IE. What do I do to get it to work on FF?

In Ancestry.com I am trying to d/l and install one of their viewers for enhanced viewing. When I get the download screen, the screen flashes continuously and I can't d/l anything. It works fine in IE. I'd really like to switch completely to FF, but am sure getting a lot of obstacles!

Unless it has been fixed recently, the Enhanced Image Viewer isn't really compatible with Firefox 3.6+ versions - the person who created that plugin needs to fix it so it installs correctly in Firefox 3.6_ versions.

A Firefox 3.6 user can still install that plugin manually using these instructions.

Forget the first two paragraphs, use the info under: How to install the Enhanced Imager Viewer manually in Firefox 3.X

That DLL you need is in this Zip file.

I don't use Ancestry.com and can't test it. You'll have to see if it works for yourself.

Nope, didn't work. I followed your instructions exactly, and installed the .dll but still get the flashing screen. I am using FF 3.6.11 on a Windows Vista 64 machine.

Tools > Addons > Plugins - do you see the Ancestry.com Image Viewer Plugin 1.0.0.1 in the list of installed Plugins?

Yayyyyyy! Yes. It is in the installed list. I decided to clear all my History, close FF, re-open and try again. It works!!!

Thanks so much for your help!
