I've experienced a few issues lately and I've been having a hard time figuring out where the issues are coming from.

I've recently both updated my internet security to Norton Security, as well as updating FireFox to its most recent version. Within this past week, I've experienced both page delayed loadings (taking longer than normal), graphics not loading fast, and most importantly and obnoxious, tabs opening and swapping between seem to hang/lag for 2-3 seconds.

I've tried fully disabling Norton. Tried various online websites' suggestions. Made sure plugins are up to date, and toggled extensions. I do NOT want to refresh Firefox because it seems like a headache for something that may not work.

I'm not sure what to do other than the potential idea of going to an older version of Firefox, or looking for a new browser all together. The lag is making Firefox almost unusable.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am not sure if you have a linux instance or what on the computer used to post this question, however there are two installs of the Flash player:

  • Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
  • Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0

Instead of refresh you can try a new profile to see if its due to performance and stuff in the profile:
