I just updated from FF 3.? to FF5 and I have tried to import my bookmarks 3 different ways, none of which work. When I import them not all bookmarks are imported... I use my BM toolbar a lot and 5 BM folders are missing when I attempt to import.

The methods I've tried are: Basic import from a saved HTML export FF 3.? did... I tried importing through XMarks which saved my BMs and PWs and FF 5 did not import the PWs either... I tried exporting from Chrome and then importing that file into FF and it still screwed it up.

This is disappointing enough for me to start back using Chrome again. I was having problems with FF 3.? crashes and now this...

Make sure that the exported bookmarks HTML file is in Unicode (UTF-8).

Do you see all the bookmarks if you open that HTML file in a Firefox tab via File > Open File or Firefox > New Tab > Open File ?

Chrome will not let me choose what type Unicode the BM export will be saved as.

I did open the file using "file open" (after having to go through the very annoying new menu at the top left... I could have done without that "improvement")... it did list the toolbar bookmarks, including the ones it fails to import... at the bottom of the list.
