Hi,

since updating to lollipop on my Nexus 7 2013 I've noticed the browser does not always load pages smoothly, gets stuck on opening a page from a link, doesn't render video boxes properly (even worse if you change screen orientation, it sometimes doesn't reframe the box properly) and it's generally laggy and patchy.

Which it's a shame because I love and want to use Firefox, but very often I need to go and use Chrome instead to avoid issues.

Is this something you are aware of? Anything that can be done now? Or are you working on it?

Many thanks in advance, and kind regards,

Jose.

Hi Jose,

Thanks for posting in Mozilla Support!

The Firefox development team are aware of issues with Firefox on Android Lollipop and are working their socks off to get them fixed. :)

Several of the issues - especially video performance - are fixed in the latest version of Firefox Beta, which you can install from Google Play.

Please give Firefox Beta a try and let us know how it goes. If there are other specific issues that are still occuring in Firefox Beta, let ua know and we can check they're reported to the developers.

Thanks,

Jayelbe
