When using some video streaming websites (namely allmyvideos) the video lags.

It has not always been the same but I can't tell when it began.

Other similar websites (vidbux, sockshare and such) works without problem, and so does the most popular websites like youtube and dailymotion.

Using Google Chrome the same video (same exact link) doesn't lag, so I'm pretty sure the problem comes from Firefox itself.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
