As of today January 11, 2017, Thunderbird no longer allows me to SEND or REPLY to emails. An ALERT message pops up. The messge says...........

An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: eastrmimpo305.cox.net cox connection refused from 70.188.245.3.

I NEED HELP WITH THIS. Thank you.

Hmm and are you connecting to the cox net server using a cox internet connection? My understanding is they are rather picky about you using their internet service to connect to their mail server. so no going on holidays or using wifi hot spots.
