Thunderbird 38.2.0 Lightning 4.0.2 gContactSync 2.0.5 Sync with Google Calendar Windows 7 Pro SP1

I am trying to accept a meeting invite and am consistently getting the above error message in the mail reader, and the meeting is not added to my calendar.

Rest of the calendar and sync with Google appears to be working fine. Accepting invites appears to be working on my other machine OK.

Any suggestions why this might be?

Is the correct email address assigned to your calendar? 'Correct' means the email address the invitation was sent to must be the one assigned to your calendar.
