There are a couple of places to look to uninstall toolbars. The first place is the add-ons manager, for details see Disable or remove Add-ons.

If you can not uninstall it from the add-ons manager, check the Windows control panel's add/remove programs. Some toolbars can be listed there if they get installed by an installer/setup program.

Not Gone Yet First I uninstalled the NCH software, next I went to Tools/Add-on on the Firefox toolbar and uninstalled the NCH Add-On. That got rid of most of the NCH toolbar but I still have a "NCH EN Customized Web Search" window embedded in the Firefox browser. I restarted the computer (Vista). Can someone tell me how to get rid of it?

Success, I think, I finally got rid of the NCH search. Find the Manage Search Engine List. Try the drop down arrow on the left of the search box and go to Manage Search Engines at the bottom. Highlight the offending search engine and click remove, then restart Firefox. After that experience, I just wanted everything NCH out of my computer.
