Does Firefox support Fixed Page Layout websites ?

It appears that Firefox doesnt allow users to view Fixed Page Layout CSS designed websites. Out of the box, is this so ? I find this unbelievable that a browser trying to compete with IE denies viewing of websites. Why does Firefox do this ? IE shows such sites correctly. Below is an example. What help I can see on this sees Firefox saying its right and the websites are wrong, or try this and that setting. It should be that Firefox works out of the box with sites, and there is nothing wrong with sites designed in CSS, they work fine with browsers that were around before Firefox came on the scene. Its up to Firefox to catch up, not websites to dumb down. Why is this Mozilla policy and when will Fixed Page Layout sites be viewable ?

That is caused by specifying the height and position of elements incorrectly.
There are also DIVs and LAYERs that have the same ID.
An ID should be unique and reused for other element, so it can be found via document.getElementByID().

It is always best not to specify heights and not to position elements absolutely to prevent issues if another (larger) font is used.
IE usually ignore such settings and decide on its own how to display elements if an overlap occurs.
That makes it impossible to check websites with IE.
Firefox will display the websites as coded and you will immediately notice if something is wrong.

The height of the layer that has the text is specified as 54px (top:175px; top+height=229px).
That should at least be height: 90px
The position of the gallery is top:233px, so that text will never fit there.
A value of top: 260px makes it look much better.

Site is created using Net Objects Fusion 9 and it does all the clever stuff, we get to just place text and chose colour and font. There are just layout window for content that is unique per page and masterborders for repetetive items. No layers are seen or choices given. IE is fine with it. If Firefox is designed to show up webdesign program problems and approaches and IE not, then this is a big issue, as NoF is there for users who dont want to be faced with having to know about such aspects. Why cant Firefox just do what IE does ? I shall have to see what NoF have to say. <<The position of the gallery is top:233px, so that text will never fit there.
