Did you check the setting of Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox ?

Tools > Options > Privacy : History: Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings

I take that back: The delete saved passwords box was ticked. I know I didn't do that so how did it happen? Are all my passwords permanently lost?
