Firefox requested I do an update last night. I did, attempted to restart, the fox bounced a few times then went dead. Never opened and no error messages. Still doing so. Can start in safe mode but still won't start in regular mode.

See similar post at almost the same time - Sherry is having the identical problem only on a PC with Firefox version: 3.6.4 Operating system: Windows Vista. I'm on a MacBook Pro

I've seen three other posts with similar problems now - related to the update.

Exactly the same problem. Have removed and reinstalled programme but still it stalls on startup. I'm using Windows 7 starter.

Same thing happened to me with Windows 7. Upgrade would just give me an empty window and the message "Not Responding". I uninstalled and reinstalled from the website. The problem persists. Windows 7 is dual boot with the Windows XP but on a different drive. XP is on drive 0 and the upgrade works fine. Windows 7 is on Drive 1. When in use each system calls the OS drive "C:/" I am wondering if that is the problem?

I don't think the C:/ drive message is the issue. I'm on a Mac and get no message at all.
