If I want to go directly to a site (IE; www.bestbuy.com) mozilla takes me to a search page that carries several choices, IE takes you directly to the site. Seems like a waste of time since I know what site I want to go to.

Hi, you can turn off search suggestions: Go to Options (cog wheel) - in the 3-bar menu unless you've moved it, > Search tab, and untick/uncheck Search suggestions.
