I'd like to archive my messages from Thunderbird through Smartsave add and every time I want to isntall it I see Thunderbird showing info that its version 31.3.0 is not compatible with the add. And it's the same no matter which version of add I try to download. Please tell me what to do or how otherwise I can archive my messages from Thunderbird to my computer (I have thousands of them so archiving by clicking each of them is not an option). Thank you.

If you want to backup the entire Profile contaning all mail and preferences:

You can use the MoxBackup tool or manaully save the Profile folder. This is where the Profile folder is located:

If you want to export all emails in a folder as individual .eml files, but this only exports highlighted emails in a selected folder. This can be done without an addon.

  • Select the folder.
  • click on first email to get focus.
  • Hold down 'Ctrl' key and press 'A' to highlight all email.
  • Right click on highlighted emails and select 'Save AS'
  • choose a folder and click on 'select folder' button.

There is also another addon called 'ImportExporttool'.

You can also use this on any folder.
