1. I use thunderbird for three mail accounts with microsoft and need to update my authentication. Your article shows me what to do and I am keen to try. My point of contention is "Administrator approval". I have no Administrator. On my PC I am the administrator. Can you elaborate on what I have to do. I do not have a {tenant-ID}. 2. Beginning just this morning (July 12) when I open received messages (from my inbox) they open as if they are messages to be sent, and in a strange format that is completely different from the plain text and images I've seen for decades. There are boxes with colored lines around elements of the message and an unexpected black-on-white formatting toolbar which is bizarre given that the message I've opened is received and not a new message to be sent. I've not been able to find guidance for what to do to fix this. I have the same issue on separate computers, one running Windows 10 and one running Windows 11.

Edit 1:26 pm Maybe the gremlins left early for the weekend?? the problem totally disappeared. Messages open as before, not as messages to be sent, no more weird boxes, toolbar gone. On both computers, with no changes to settings.

I recently installed Linux Mint on a separate SSD on my Win10 PC and have now a dual boot environment.

Linux can access (r/w) all windows drives.

It should be possible via TB profile manager to access the TB profile on the windows partition.

My question: Are there any known incompatibilities between TB on Linux and Windows ? I don't want to end up having problems with the Windows installation of TB when trying to set this up.

I have used thunderbird for many years, and all without problems. But two days ago the IMAP emails waiting in my inbox (which I can see if I log on via the web) stopped downloading to thunderbird. It also stopped sending my emails. I have two separate addresses on two separate domains (although they are both on the same hosting service). the bottom line information says "connected to imap.one.com" - which is the host imap server. I have two different emails using the two domains on another computer, and thunderbird is working fine on that one. I have no idea where to begin - the hosting support desk at one.com have not been particularly helpful - and given that the other computer connecting OK and receiving and sending emails, it's probably not their end that is the problem. Has anyone any ideas?

This is an issue that has cropped up many times in years past. Thunderbird really needs to fix it, rather than provide hacks. But for now, I'm using Windoze 11, Tbird 115.12.2 (32-bit) and it's up to date. I am not only using Microsoft native security software, i.e. no Norton antivirus and the like. I am not highly computer literate, but I have used Thunderbird for decades.

Firefox has long been my browser of choice on all platforms. I am switching from Windows to Linux and have recently found problems playing some videos on the Linux version of Foxfire. I don’t know if it’s a matter of having the right codec or something else. The videos play with Chromium on Linux and with Firefox on my Android smartphone. Is there anyway to automate and set default 'Format' 'Textstyle 'Superscript for dates eg 1st to 1st, 2nd to 2nd, 3rd to 3rd? Please have a look at the attached image Some Word-processors do this. Many thanks Derek

If you fix it ill willingly fix my rating on google play because i thought mozilla was better than chrome but then i need to open the side bar for it to redirect to whatsapp otherwise it wont help[a bit and you'll se a whatsapp icon]

Got a new PC and loading all the software (ugh). I made Firefox my default browser and opened my Yahoo email. I tried synching the bookmarks and picked Sync Now but the old bookmarks are not showing up. I still have a laptop with all the old bookmarks (from synching automatically). Can I export those to a thumb drive and bring into the new computer somehow? Do I risk losing my bookmarks on the laptop when I turn it on? Fred

'because we use our address already we must cancel thunderbird. Google think we have someone trying

    to enter our email which  has caused problems. Surely you should not have accepted our address in the first 
    place. I have not been able to find a way to cancel it on line.

Hello. I have been using Firefox and Thunderbird for many years with no problem until last week. I logged onto Google so I could leave a Google review for a friend's restaurant and when I was finished, when I went to go to my Thunderbird account to send an email, suddenly a new box opens and will not allow me to access my Thunderbird account without first singing into Google?!? I do not want to ever have to sign onto Google and this is all new. I want to get Google off my Thunderbird. I can access my email only from Google. No thank you. I hope someone has some idea on what I should do. Thank you, Philip

I have the latest FireFox Nightly, and i'm using a theme from firefox's themes store, and it has all tabs "marked" for some reason, which is really annoying and I can't really identify on which tab i'm currently at

We have MBOX mails sized by 46,321,930 KB and exported from Gmail account to store and save to see anytime. I understood this MBOX file only can be opened and see the contents through Thunderbird. We have a few questions to use this program properly. See the questions below and answer, please. 1. This file has been imported and visible with the same file name and the quantity of the 30,044 emails sign. However, the contents are not shown up after we click the file through Thunderbird. The contents were actually popped up a few days ago and currently are not visible at all. Please explain this happening and let us know how to manage these contents to check. 2. Even though we make these MBOX files imported in the Thunderbird program, we couldn't make sure that it is possibly open to see since it has disappeared in the program as said in a 1st question. We currently have this MBOX mail in the computer and would like to keep it in an external hard drive to open this file to see in the future. We wonder if it is possible to import anytime and on any device if they download the Thunderbird program and have the same MBOX file.   3. We are not familiar with the MBOX format, and Google didn't let us export the whole quantity of the 64GB emails (there are missing emails in specific beginning periods which are not able to be seen as the same as the emails at the Gmail account). We would like to know if we could trust this MBOX and Thunderbird program with no more missing emails. 

We might need to make a call to discuss more about the program and the file after checking your response.
