Having just downloaded Firefox I went to access my website. I entered login details & was asked if I want Firefox to remember login I clicked 'no, not ever' and now each time I enter the login details & click 'submit' the login details I entered disappear so I need to try logging in again, then I try again and each time I click submit the login boxes empty again & so on. The prompt asking if I want Firefox to remember these details has stopped popping up.

If you click "Never" then you create a block exception that needs to be removed.

Remove site(s) from the Exceptions:

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: Exceptions

Make sure that you haven't saved multiple (uppercase, lowercase) versions of that name and password.

Remove saved Password(s):

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
