What I mean is (and is only a example), if I type www.fish.com, Firefox go to this adress. But if I type juste the word «fish», Firefox search a website with a .com (or wathever), if no site exist (in this case fish.com), then the redirection is made to google for the searching keyword «fish».

But is very slow... the time that Firefox check if the adress of "fish" (without any .com or .net or .org, etc)is exist, otherwise he redirect to google.

So my question is very simple: can I tell to firefox to NOT check if the keyword I enter is a web site and go direcly to google?

If I enter www.fish.com, go to the site If I enter only "fish", then don't check for a site and go to google right away.

That is what the search bar is made for, to directly search, not as a multibar as the location bar is.
