Yesterday, I spent several hours repairing this shit. Today, I get an automatic update that put me right back in the same predicament. I need an older version so that downloading videos will work on Real Player. Either that or fix your newest download so that it will let Real Player work. Send a link to download the older version of Firefox. Then tell me how to never get an automatic update

By the way, there are a lot of downloader add-ons that don't have the compatibility problems that have plagued the Realplayer add-on.

To change your automatic update options, check here:

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced > Update

You also can check other threads (particularly those started by MacOSX 10.4 users) about a file you can delete to block updates.

For version 3.6.28, which you probably realize is behind on security updates, you can go to this page: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
