Home page keeps reverting to MSN despite my resetting it

The past few times Firefox has closed and restarted (sometimes on its own), the home page comes up as MSN instead of my usual home page. I go into the Tools/General and reset it to my desired homepage and it works for that session, but next time Firefox restarts it reverts back to MSN again. I almost never visit MSN, and haven't recently. I don't recall ever asking for MSN to be my home page, and it hasn't done this until just recently.

Hi chodgkin,

You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article How to set the home page. Your homepage might have been changed by a particular site. Sites like MSN, Yahoo, etc have been know to ask to become your homepage.

There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to your personal preference.

If that doesn't work you should look at the article Preferences not saved.

Hopefully this helps!

Thanks. The reset to default has seemed to do it.
