I tried to sign up for your password saving system the other day. In doing so I had to create a master password. I now have lost the master password--it wouldn't accept most of my choices--and now I'm locked out of many of my websites.

If you reset the master password then you lose all stored passwords.

You can try to use the Time Machine to restore both key3.db and signons.sqlite to versions when you didn't had the master password.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
