Reinstalled Windows XP, Lost bookmarks, can I recover them?

I just reinstalled windows XP and now all of my bookmarks are gone as I also had to reinstall firefox.

Can I recover my old bookmarks?

Do you have a backup?

Were you using Firefox Sync?

No backup and no sync
