I signed in to my Google calendar account and got an error message saying there was a problem with my cookies and I should clear my cache. If that didn't fix the problem, I should disable cookies. I followed these instructions and the problem was not fixed. In fact, when I disabled the cookies, I got an error message saying I needed to enable the cookies! Needless to say, I am completely frustrated.

Just click the "Sign In" button again when you see that message. Clicking it a second time usually works.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

What worked was that a friend pointed out that I could use Internet Explorer to access Google and use Firefox for everything else. That solved my problem.
