I was aiming for control-X when in the location bar to cut a bit of text out, and I must have hit some other key combination. Somehow I managed to get the URL in the location box to become right-aligned instead of left-aligned. I have a screenshot of if, but there is no option to upload a file with this report.

Basically when I type in the location box, where you normally type a web address, instead of starting at the left end of the box, it starts at the right end and fills out towards the left, but still in normal left-to-right text. However if you start to type something like define: the colon jumps before and it becomes :define until you type the next character. Looks a bit weird!

TIA

Brian

I have since been informed the solution is to press Ctrl Shift X when inside the URL box.

Problem solved, but I thought it best to leave this here in case anyone else came across the problem.

Yes, the Shift+Ctrl+X is the key combination to switch the Bidi input mode. It is (still) not listed in the Keyboard shortcuts - Perform common Firefox tasks quickly KB article for some reason.
