OOPS , NO it didnt do the trick: Only my main email ***@live.com The other 9 email addresses are missing . I notice there is another folder "Thunderbird-ImapMail" . I guess it hold imap emails .

Are you copying while Thunderbird is running? Be sure to exit thunderbird and then copy the thunderbirdprofile folder. all info will be there. That is how the portable version is designed. I have the same layout. After doing that, please report any error messages.

So, what error messages are you receiving? The problem you are reporting I've not seen before. If you look at folder in File Explorer after copying, what files are missing?

I get no error messages . What's missing are all the .ims files in Folder c:\Thunderbird-ImapMail that I Posted above at 6/4/24, 4:26 PM . Why would TB create this Folder and files , if it doesn't use them ? Thanks

Hmm... I just noticed that all the files I mentioned in c:\Thunderbird-ImapMail are also in C:\ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile\ImapMail I must have created c:\Thunderbird-ImapMail as a backup a long time ago . Here is output from DirLister prograqm forC:\ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile\ImapMail

Finally , I did a search for ThunderBird.exe .

Turns out I had brought over 2 versions of TB .

One here :

C:\myPrograms\ThunderBird\ThunderbirdPortable

And one here :

C:\ThunderbirdPortable\

The one I was trying to get going C:\ThunderbirdPortable\ didn't work .

The C:\myPrograms\ThunderBird\ThunderbirdPortable works .
