are you connecting to the internet using a cox net service? If I recall correctly they do not allow the use of their email server unless you do. So no WiFi hotspots when you are on holidays.

I have tried several ways to set up my emails from yahoo. I changed all the required information, checked on the yahoo.com page and nothing is coming through on Thunderbird. Can you help me get this set up?
