Page Keeps Returning to Previous Pages

When I open a tab and go to a website, Firefox returns me to the previous page, no matter how many times I try to go back to my chosen site.

For example: I open a tab and my default page appears. I type in a website or click on a bookmark, and Firefox will get me there. However, the site I'm on won't stay; it keeps returning to the default page.

I've refreshed Firefox and reinstalled it, but no change. I put Firefox into Troubleshooting mode, but I didn't know what to do after that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

If it works in Troubleshoot Mode, the next step would be to disable your extensions.

You should probably run a malware scan with something like Malwarebytes to be on the safe side.
