Hi

Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox?

Hi

Are you using FVD Video Downloader as an add-on in Firefox?

I had the same issue, and amazingly it was on a dual boot PC - running Win7 and Win10. i thought some sore of virus had hit the hard drive, since there was no way it could corrupt two different installs of Firefox! Turns out it was an extension called "Simple Video Downloader". I went through my extensions turning each off and on one at a time, and when I turned that one off, Firefox was fine! Removed that extension and alerted Mozilla.

According to a report on Reddit, Ummy Video Downloader does the same. https://old.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/11dcqoq/firefox_keeps_redirecting_to_censurecom/jaaiuiy/

Searching for that one gives me 2 results:

Screenshots are identical...

The second one changed name to: "Video Downloader Professional".

[Edit] Both "Ummy" downloaders have been pulled from the store.
