My Firefox browser updated to the newest version automatically, and now ALL my passwords are gone! I've tried looking for answers in this forum, which seems to be all directed to programmers. I'm not a programmer, and don't understand about "running files". Here's what I've done: 1) %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ 2) found the folder - Profiles-99a2cfwo.default

    a) login - only TWO logins are saved
    b) login.json - only TWO logins are saved
    c) login.backup - only TWO logins are saved
    c) login.json.corrupt - it doesn't open
    e) Key4 - my computer doesn't allow me to open "system files" type .bd

3) I've also gone to about:logins and only saw TWO saved logins 4) Tried to export the csv file. The same, only TWO logins saved

I've used Firefox for YEARS, so needless to say I had dozens of logins saved there. Please help me to get it back.

Did you check this article?

You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created.

Note that key4.db is a binary file (SQLite database) that stores the encryption key.

You can look a utility to browse System Restore points to see if you can locate a matching logins.json and key4.db
