I don't know what this is, what it's called, or why the someone in your UI/UX team continues to think that it's a good idea to change the keyboard navigation in the browser with all these new, special, or whatever controls that are ultimately useless.

Nevermind, it's "Quick Actions."

Your help page for it is a 404 though.

Suggestion for you in order to keep your users: Leave new features off by default.

Vivaldi has been been doing awesome in a test use scenario and if you don't stop mucking with the UI, I will switch and not come back.

Yes, the article for the new "Quick Actions" feature has not been created yet as this is feature added with Firefox 105 (currently Beta). Once the article has been finished and is ready then the quick actions link should work.

Thanks for the feedback, info, advice.

I would have thought that the article would have been released on the same schedule since, you know, it's a help article. Or at least have a pre-check before attempting to open it (that's a feature suggestion, I guess). I wouldn't imagine that's too difficult because the browser features are, you know, already available to you.

Advice 2: Do NOT ship beta versions on the main update track. Do NOT put beta features on a production release. Dear lord, that's standard industry practice. I don't know who decided that would be a good idea but, guys, seriously, please don't do things like this. At the very least, this is an Accessibility Breaking Change for the UI for people who use automation and voice control systems.

That said, runningg FF dev ed, how do I turn off the "get the beta features that aren't really released" option?

Yeah, there's all kinds of things in those settings. I had looked in regular settings twice and didn't see anything that jumped out until after I made this question (of course).

But thanks all the same. Maybe someone will see it at some point and need it.

The Release, Beta (b#), DE, Nightly (a1), ESR (1 or 2 versions depending on overlap) are all on separate channels for updates.

A version on one channel does not update to a version on another channel. Been the norm ever since.

The Developers Edition is basically the same as Beta but with additional developer features.

As you can see the separate channels listed on https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
