Very persistant Error message

after the latest update, on all my accounts to my server, when I send a message (Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent Mail) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent Mail) or if it tries to save to drafts I get a error that it cannot save it.

What setting needs to be changed so saving drafts/send emails occurs properly?

Is this a gmail account? Gmail automatically copies sent mail to the Sent Mail folder, so 'Place a copy in' in the Copies & Folders section of Account Settings should be unchecked. Check that Sent Mail (not Sent) is a subscribed folder.
