The import of the logins and passwords does not work on new Firefox 88.0.1. I've switched to new PC and I installed the same Firefox 88.0.1 as on old PC. I tried several times to sync old PC and new PC without success.

I exported logins to a file on old PC and I enabled import from the .CSV files on new PC. That does not work neither as I got almost all imports errors. I attached the print-screen.

On new PC even when I enter manually login and password on page the password is never saved. It looks like Lockwise is completely busted. Please let me know when could you fix this critical error ?

You can try to transfer logins.json and key4.db directly from the old device to the profile on the new device if using a CSV backup isn't working.

You can copy certain files with Firefox closed to the current profile folder to transfer or recover personal data.

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

  • bookmarks and history: places.sqlite
  • favicons: favicons.sqlite
  • bookmark backups: compressed .jsonlz4 JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder
  • cookies.sqlite for the Cookies
  • formhistory.sqlite for saved autocomplete Form Data
  • logins.json (encrypted logins;32+) and key4.db (decryption key;58+) for Passwords saved in the Password Manager
key3.db support ended in 73+; to use key3.db in 58-72, make sure to remove key4.db
  • cert9.db (58+) for (intermediate) certificates stored in the Certificate Manager
  • persdict.dat for words added to the spell checker dictionary
  • permissions.sqlite for Permissions and possibly content-prefs.sqlite for other website specific data (Site Preferences)
  • sessionstore.jsonlz4 for open tabs and pinned tabs (see also the sessionstore-backups folder)

OK, thank you that solution solved import of logins and passwords. Although it would be nice if a proper solution was done in next release.

Thank you.

You're welcome

You can possibly create a new export CSV file and compare this file with the file you created on the old device to see if and how they differ.
