Nightly on Windows 10 stopped updating
Nightly on Windows 10 stopped updating.
The about dialog says:
79.0a1 (2020-06-26) (64-bit) Nightly is up to date.
Is this some known issue?

You can uninstall the old version and install the current version.
You should be able to use the same profile folder with the new version.
If there are issues reported then remove application.ini in the Nightly profile folder.

I'm not seeing anything unusual reported if I check the daily threads at the mozillaZine Builds forum.
This could have been around the time Nightly updated from 79 to 80 and you may have stuck with Firefox 79.
Sometimes there are serious issues and the tree or updates are frozen temporarily.
Why haven't you installed the current Firefox 81.0a1 Nightly build if you haven't received updates for that long ?

Should I just install it and it will update the existing installation, or must I uninstall first the old version?

I uninstalled the old version and installed a fresh nightly. It works (and updates) fine.
