Running Firefox 58.0.2 64 bit. When I log out of a site, such as online banking, a new tab is opened with the logout page shown.
If I log out of a web site a new tab is opened showing the logout page, but the original page does not close. It is no longer active, but I have to manually close it or the browser.

This would come from the site not from FF or Mozilla. I've seen this on some site and financial sites. If it isn't closing right you might have to ask the site if there is some conflicts it is having with the Browser.
