Nowadays you can recieve anything anywhere....except newsgroup content to your mail account. Everything i want is to forward the news to my mail acc so that i can get them, when i am not at home, but thunderbird doesnt seem to own such a feature, am i right?

My approach to that is to find a newsreader for each platform. I use Pan on a PC (Thunderbird is a bit weak), and Groundhog on my Android devices.

I don't know if Thunderbird could do this but the pitfall is that you'd have to leave it up and running in order to apply filters and forward your news messages.

Well, I have just set up a filter to copy news messages to a folder in an IMAP-connected email account and it all works nicely. That seems more elegant to me than re-emailing them.

It occurs to me that your news server may have a forward-via-email feature; have a look.
