Since upgrading the program i am encountering multiple problem - "server timed out"

Getting "server timed out" warnings. not happened before having read a message its stays highlighted and takes several selects to go to UN-highlighted When selecting fonts used before, such as Times New Roman it indicates not installed but works. Often takes the program several attempts to save email after sending.

1. update to version 45.1.0

2. still a problem, start *Windows'* safe mode with networking enabled - win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7 Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

Does problem go away?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it also occurs on a separate computer running windows 10
