I have synced my browser with my gmail account. After browsing and closing/restarting the system, the Firefox starts with only the bookmarks, form history from the sync account and forgets everything I have done currently.

-> Done creating a new profile -> Downgrading/Reinstalling the browser -> Removing any antivirus that may cause history delete -> Syncing n number of times

Still it doesn't take any new history after shutdown.

What may be the solution?

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can check the settings for "Clear history when Firefox closes".

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

"I have synced my browser with my gmail account." How did you manage to do that? Sync works between devices running Firefox and the Sync server, it doesn't connect to any type of "web account" like Gmail.

Sorry, I meant to say that. The sync account email is gmail.

Thanks guys, the settings was set to "Custom settings for history" although the "Clear History when Firefox Closes" was unchecked all the time. Wierd.
