my inbox has disappeared; can see only sent mail

I found that under the Go menu item, if I hovered over the e-mail account name (rather than clicking it, as I'd been doing), I could see a drop-down menu with Inbox, send, and trash as options and was able to select the Inbox. So it's back to normal again. Thanks for your willingness to help.
