I continue to have pop-ups which completely take over Firefox - I'm not having similar problems with Safari or Internet Explorer. I have run Norton, SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes, and TDSS Killer with no success. This issue is really making it difficult to use Firefox.

First try to Start Firefox in Safe Mode.

Next, go to Mozilla Add-ons Web Page and look for a good add / pop-up blocker. Let us know how you are doing. .

Assuming you have knowledge of add-on's that simply remove the pop-ups while browsing the internet, have you tried re-installing firefox ? or perhaps running it in safe-mode ? Hope I could be of some help.

I note that you are using Norton safe search. I am not sure that has much if any benefit over what Firefox may do by default.

I do not see any addon listed that is likely to cause these problems.

It is possible that you have Malware that you have not yet found &/or you have not reset the changes such malware has made.

Make sure you scan with multiple and up-to-date tools.

Run scans with multiple and up-to-date tools. Hopefully it will be easily detected and removed. I would not suggest you try any manual hacks or edits of the Windows registry. (Once rogue files are removed any residual registry entry will not normally do any harm.)

Your problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

You need to use multiple and up-to-date tools as they will not all pick up the same things.

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good FREE permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

AdBlocks Plus seems to have done the trick so far.
