How do I set firefox as my default search?

Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Different Android devices may work differently. On my HTC device running Gingerbread, I have a gray search bar widget on one of my home screens. To have it launch Firefox, I had to clear defaults on the stock browser (Settings > Applications > Manage Applications).
