When I click on a site etc. I must move mouse in order to get any action. The green circle will pop up and stop until I move the cursor. Video streaming is slow and stalls. This does not happen on other browsers. My provider ATT had me clean my cookies and that did not help. This is not happening on my desk top, only lap top.

You can restore the Firefox button if you do the following:

  1. Right click on an empty area of the tab bar
  2. Uncheck Menu Bar from the drop-down

This should close the Menu Bar and restore the Firefox button.

The mouse move problem has been mentioned by several users over the past week. The best workaround at the moment is rolling back to Firefox 24. There is a link to the old installer in this article: Install an older version of Firefox. To change your update settings so you can defer the reinstallation of Firefox 25, see this article: Advanced panel - Accessibility, browsing, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox.

The developers are trying to track down why some systems exhibit this problem. If you would be willing to provide more information about what Firefox is doing when this problem occurs, by installing a special version of Firefox that logs more data while you browse (a couple of hours probably would be enough), please let us know.

there is an update to firefox 25.0.1 in the making, which fixes the problem & should go out to all users via auto-update tomorrow.

you can also use the firefox beta version from mozilla.org/beta - it shouldn't be affected by the issue either.
