The above is problem # 2. It finally recognized my previous registration and allowed me to proceed.

My primary question regards failure of one web page to load on this computer. I have used it ever since I had this computer. I was reading King World News when they warned they had been attacked and advised clearing recent history caches. Following this, this one web site has been closed to me on this computer. It is open on other computers on my same home network, but not on this one. The page I am trying to load is https://vitalityforlife.com/melaleuca/guests/login.asp. After typing the password, this is what I get: https://dev.vitalityforlife.com/melaleuca/guests/login.asp and the message "problem loading page." I don't know why it puts up the letters "dev" in front of the web site. I have Kasprsky antivirus program, and it has found no viruses. All of the other web pages load normally with my password. How can I fix this? What is the problem?

Up until now, I have enjoyed the experience of using Firefox. The problem might be on the computer after erasing history. I tried to load the page with Microsoft Explorer and got the same result.

Once again, the program loads for me normally on my other computers.

Thanks for your help.

By the way, when I hit the first URL in your post, I get a warning that the certificate is only valid for www.vitalityforlife.com. If I add www into the URL, it loads normally.

https://www.vitalityforlife.com/melaleuca/guests/login.asp

Naturally I can't actually log in, but does that make any difference for you?

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")

(2) Remove the site's cookies --before trying to log in. View a page on the site, and then use either of these:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
