Hve been having Flash crashes, tried updating to flash 11.4 and plug in updater still shows outdated for the flash player.

My Flash player started crashing last night. I did a check on the update page and it said flash was out of date, so I updated it. Upon restarting Firefox, and rechecking the plugin update page it still showed the flash player as out of date. I have tried reinitializing the plug in dat file and it still shows as out of date. Is there a problem with Flash 11.4 or am I doing something wrong?

You have two different versions of the Plugin version of Flash installed.

Installed Plug-ins
   Google Update 
Shockwave Flash 11.4 r402
Next Generation Java Plug-in 10.7.2 for Mozilla browsers
NPRuntime Script Plug-in Library for Java(TM) Deploy
Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300

Un-install the older version.

Sorry to sound like such a dork, but where do I look to see which plug-in's are currently installed on my browser? I'm running Firefox 15.0.1 and have installed Flash Player 11.4.402.278 and despite uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, I am still having problems with Flash crashing on nearly every page I view. After a reinstall, it seems to work for a few sessions, then starts crashing again. Any help is most appreciated!

I think you do Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions and then when you find the one you want to get rid of, you can hit either "Disable" or "Remove."

This is assuming you have the standard menu showing. If not, it's a little different to get to Tools.
