I am trying to load a couple of websites that I have used previously (and which worked fine). When I click on the bookmark, it shows the page, but then goes into an endless loop of constantly loading the page. It will stop when I close the tab.

I have tried going to these websites on my laptop and they are fine. No endless looping. I have tried downloading Firefox and reinstalling it (without uninstalling the other version I have).

I need to use these websites. Can this be fixed?

hello please check that the website can set cookies at least for the session & go through the steps listed in Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them

Firefox has been set to the correct cookies parameters as listed at the Websites say cookies are blocked-Unblock them page. These were correct previously. The pages I want to go to are still in an infinite loop.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
